DMA is a course for medical assistants. This course can do many jobs. For example-

(1) Medical assistants can be employed in private and autonomous institutions. Such institutions are medical service centers of various NGOs, medical service centers of schools, colleges, and universities, medical service centers of garment industry companies, Medical service centers of tea industry companies, medical service centers of jute industry companies, etc.

(2) In addition to the business of medicine, primary care can be provided to patients. (3) One can establish oneself as a village doctor and provide medical services to rural Bengal or village Bengal patients.

Human Anatomy and physiology is a subject of Medical Science that describes the structure and functions of the human body, such as the heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, brain, skeleton, skin, muscle, fat, and blood. This subject is important for DMA Courses.

This subject is common for all medical and dental students. Medical Diagnosis for DMA Course 

Medical diagnosis is an important subject used to diagnose diseases in patients. This subject discusses Auscultation, Percussion, Diagnosis of respiratory disease, Diagnosis of gastric ulcer, diagnosis of duodenal ulcer, diagnosis of liver disease, diagnosis of kidney disease, diagnosis of appendicitis, diagnosis of typhoid fever, diagnosis of dengue fever, diagnosis of covid  19, diagnosis of pneumonia, diagnosis of asthma, diagnosis of COPD, diagnosis of cholecystitis, diagnosis of pancreatitis, diagnosis of GERD, etc.

Investigation for Asthma, Pneumonia, Bronchitis, Appendicitis, and Typhoid

Investigations for asthma include breathing tests and home monitoring with a peak flow meter. Pneumonia is diagnosed using a chest X-ray, pulse oximetry, and a sputum test. Bronchitis investigations may include PCR tests for bacterial causes, though it's often managed symptomatically. Appendicitis relies on clinical exams and is often confirmed with imaging tests like CT or ultrasound. Typhoid is diagnosed with blood and stool cultures, and a Widal test. 

Asthma 

• Breathing Tests: Simple tests check how well the lungs are functioning.
• Peak Flow Meter: A handheld device used at home to monitor lung function over a few weeks.

Pneumonia

• Chest X-ray: To help diagnose pneumonia, locate the infection, and determine its extent. 
• Pulse Oximetry: Measures the oxygen level in the blood. 
• Sputum Test: A sample of mucus (sputum) is taken after a deep cough to identify the source of the infection. 

Bronchitis

• PCR Testing:

  Used to rapidly identify the genetic material of bacterial pathogens in respiratory samples, though acute bronchitis is usually viral and doesn't require antibiotics. 

• Clinical Evaluation:

  Management often focuses on home care and over-the-counter medicines for symptoms. 

Appendicitis

• Clinical Evaluation & Physical Exam: The primary diagnostic tools for appendicitis. 
• Imaging Tests:
  • Computed Tomography (CT) Scan: Provides detailed images to help confirm the diagnosis. 
  • Ultrasonography (Ultrasound): An imaging option used to evaluate suspected appendicitis. 
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): Another imaging option for evaluation. 

Typhoid 

• Blood Cultures: Used to identify the presence of the bacteria Salmonella Typhi.
• Stool Cultures: Also used to detect the bacteria in stool samples.
• Widal Test: A blood test that measures antibody levels against Salmonella Typhi, showing a response to the infection.

Study of OTC Drugs & Medicine for DMA Course

The drugs that can be bought or sold without any prescription from doctors are OTC drugs. OTC Drugs stands for Over-the-counter Drugs. There are 39 OTC Drugs & Medicines in Bangladesh but this range is very high in some countries like Japan, and the USA. The OTC drugs are Paracetamol, Albendazole, Omeprazole, Bengyl Benzoate Lotion, Permethrin, Vitamin B Complex, Calciium, etc. In the Study of OTC Drugs & Medicine, students can learn about the drug knowledge administration practice of OTC Drugs and Medicine. General Pathology for DMA Course 

The study of pathogens is called pathology. 
General Pathology is a branch of pathology that discusses the known clinical abnormalities of disease.
General Pathology includes atrophy, hypertrophy, metaplasia, gangrene, etc. 
General Pathology is important for understanding the causes and procedures of disease. 
General Pathology is a common subject in Medical Science.

Gastro Anatomy & Physiology for DMA Courses

The study of the structure of the Digestive System and its organs, cells, and tissues is called Gastro Anatomy. Gastro means stomach. Gastro Physiology is the study of the functions of the digestive and its organs, tissues, and cells. In Gastro Anatomy we study here about the anatomy of the stomach, the anatomy of the esophagus, anatomy of small intestine, anatomy of the large intestine, anatomy of rectum, anatomy of the anus, anatomy of the oral mucosa, anatomy of the tongue, and anatomy of pharynx.
